About Us
Your hosts at Ferguson Lake Cabins:
Sandra and Wally Chippior.
We grew up in the Renfrew area, worked in Ottawa, are now semi-retired and are continuing to operate the seasonal cabins previously owned by Sandra's parents and grandparents. We and a parent live in 2 houses also located on the property.
The cabins were built in the 1950's. Some of our clients from the US and Canada have family members staying with us over a 50 year period. We have visited, vacationed and worked here as children and adults and are now continuing the tradition of sharing our part of Ferguson Lake.
As part of a century old farm on Ferguson Lake, we offer cabins or camping where you can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing or just relaxation. The rustic log cabins feature a windowed porch, wood stove, air conditioning, and can sleep 6 to 8 individuals. They have a gas range, refrigerator, microwave and BBQ and have running hot and cold potable water (except in winter). We provide separate cabin dedicated shower and washroom facilities.
Ferguson Lake has large-mouth bass, walleye and pike for the avid fisherman. There is a sandy beach ideal for children to play and swim in and they can catch pan fish and minnows from the dock. There is a raft in the lake to swim at or lounge on and campfire areas at water’s edge (firewood included).
We are close to Logos Land, Calabogie Motorsports Park, 5 golf courses (Dragonfly, Renfrew, Calabogie Highlands, Oaks of Cobden and Whitetail), hiking destinations, ATV trails and numerous other lakes and rivers.
We are closed November through April.
